Meanwhile, Emperor Havico Corino (Mark Strong) is entrusted with the task of maintaining peace in the Imperium, but faces his own struggles to maintain power and control, reluctantly deciding to allow the young son (literal child) of Duke Ferdinand Richese (Brendon Cowell) to marry his daughter Princess Inez (Sarah-Sophie Busnina) to secure an alliance when she becomes heir to the Golden Lion Throne. Things get complicated when Princess Inez is influenced by her self-centered brother Constantine Corino (Josh Huston) and her thirst for control over swordmaster Kieran Atreides. During the turmoil, a mysterious soldier, Desmond Hart (Travis Fimmel), easily makes his way into the Imperium, intent on gaining Emperor Havico Corino’s trust. It was truly exciting to watch the first episode of Dune: Prophecy premiere on the big screen. Showrunner Alison Schapker is known for her emphasis on cinematic visual effects for the fictional sci-fi world on screen, as seen in the TV series Lost, The Flash, to HBO’s critically acclaimed Westworld, and now Dune: Prophecy.
