Call Mickey Haller

Do you need a lawyer? He runs his law firm from his Lincoln and is ready to hit the gas pedal. As he navigates Los Angeles, he engages in affairs while juggling a personal life that includes being a father and two ex-wives. Originally agreed to with CBS for a 2020 series, it was canceled shortly before the first episode was filmed due to COVID. It has now been picked up by Netflix for a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book, “The Brass Verdict.” Mickey Haller has several cars, all with personalized California license plates. Personalized California license plates allow a maximum of seven letters/numbers, but all Mickey license plates have a minimum of eight. Mentioned in Telly’s Shrine: Week 3 (2022).
Background, dialogues, story – everything is superb
I liked the movie, but I think I like the series better. You take a decent movie like this and make an adaptation that surpasses it, that’s a colossal undertaking. No doubt they spent a fortune on this series. Don’t expect it to be like the movie because it wasn’t meant to be and don’t compare it to the novel (comparing apples to oranges). I haven’t seen the lead actor (Garcia-Rulfo) play the lead in anything that I can think of, although he has appeared in some outstanding films over the last decade. He did extremely well in this role and I believe we are witnessing his long-awaited opportunity. Surprisingly, he embodies the essence of the lawyer hero required for the role (as does McConaughey).

I believe that the success of the series depends on this factor alone. Neve Campbell is great as always. The rest of the supporting cast is satisfactory in my opinion. Kelley), The Good Wife (not Kelley) and now The Lincoln Lawyer (David E. Kelley). If it proves to stand the test of time like all his previous courtroom dramas, it will surpass anything currently airing (in this genre, of course). In the first 30 minutes I felt the same emotions I remember from so many years ago. We used to only be able to watch one episode a week when they were released, but now, in the age of bingeing, I can binge them all in one weekend. Kelley’s creations/productions and I don’t regret a single moment of my wasted youth. The only question I have is why did they wait so long to produce the next big one?

Sure, but it’s part of the mainstream today and whether we like it or not, the organism that is the entertainment industry is married to this “culture”. Accept it and move on, or you’re denying yourself some of the leniency you deserve, like Lawyer Lincoln. Entertainment: 9. Acting: 6. Screenplay: 7. Cinematographer: 8. Average: 7.5.
